Slow Cooker Short Ribs

Ingredients

for 4 servings

  • 2 lb
    bone-in short ribs (900 g)
  • 1 lb
    baby potato (455 g)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 onion, cut in half
  • 4 cloves garlic, large
  • 1 lb
    baby carrots (455 g)
  • 1 lb
    green beans (455 g)

Spice Mix

  • 1 cup
    BBQ sauce (285 g)
  • 1 tablespoon
    brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon
    cumin
  • 1 teaspoon
    dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon
    salt

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, cumin, oregano, and ½ teaspoon of salt until well combined.
  2. Place bone-in short ribs in the bottom of a 6-quart (6 liters) slow cooker.
  3. Add the spice mix over the meat.
  4. Throw in the baby potatoes and add a pinch of salt, then add onion, garlic, and baby carrots.
  5. Cover and cook on low heat for 7-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Add green beans during the last 30 minutes of cooking time.
  7. Enjoy!
