Cheesecake Baked Apples

Ingredients

for 1 serving

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened (225 g)
  • ¼ cup
    sugar (50 g)
  • 1 teaspoon
    cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon
    vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 honeycrisp apple, or apple of your choice

Maple Pecan Sauce

  • 1 cup
    whipping cream (235 mL)
  • ¾ cup
    maple syrup (165 g)
  • ½ cup
    crushed pecan (60 g)

Optional Topping

  • graham cracker, crushed

Preparation

  1. Mix cream cheese, and sugar. Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  2. Hollow the apple with a melon baller.
  3. Fill ⅔ of hollowed apple with cream cheese mixture.
  4. Bake 25-30 minutes at 176˚C (350˚F).
  5. For maple pecan sauce, boil whipping cream and maple syrup until thick. Stir in pecans just before serving.
  6. Serve with crushed graham cracker (optional) and maple pecans sauce.
  7. Enjoy!
