Chicken & Waffle Bites

Ingredients

for 2 servings

  • ⅓ cup
    mustard (80 g)
  • ⅓ cup
    maple syrup (70 mL)
  • ⅓ cup
    honey (110 g)
  • 1 chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon
    salt
  • 1 teaspoon
    pepper
  • 1 teaspoon
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup
    whole milk (180 mL)
  • 1 teaspoon
    vanilla
  • 2 ½ tablespoons
    oil
  • 1 cup
    flour (125 g)
  • ½ tablespoon
    baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon
    sugar
  • 1 salt, pinch

Preparation

Under 30 min

  1. Combine the wet ingredients in a mixing bowl. In another mixing bowl, sift together the dry ingredients. Add the wet to the dry and mix until smooth.
  2. Add the seasoned chicken to the waffle batter. Make sure the chicken is coated in the batter.
  3. Heat your waffle iron on the lowest setting. Spoon a piece of chicken and additional batter into each section. Cook on the lowest setting for approximately 10 minutes.
  4. Enjoy!
