Apple Cinnamon Steel-cut Oatmeal

Ingredients

for 8 servings

  • 2 cups
    steel-cut oat (200 g)
  • 1 teaspoon
    cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon
    salt
  • ¼ cup
    maple syrup (55 g)
  • 4 apples, peeled, cored, cut into ½-inch (1-cm) pieces
  • 3 cups
    water (710 mL)
  • 3 cups
    milk, or milk alternative (710 mL)
  • chopped nut, to serve

Preparation

  1. Add steel-cut oats, cinnamon, salt, maple syrup, apples, water, and milk to a greased slow cooker.
  2. Stir then cover.
  3. Cook on low for 7-8 hours.
  4. Carefully remove lid and serve with chopped nuts.
  5. Enjoy!
