Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch round baking dish with ½ tablespoon of butter.
  2. In a medium bowl, whip the egg whites with an electric hand mixer on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form, 2–3 minutes.
  3. In a small, microwave-safe bowl, combine three-quarters of the chocolate bar with the remaining ½ tablespoon of butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between, until melted and smooth.
  4. In a large bowl, whip together the egg yolks, brown sugar, and McCormick® Vanilla Extract with an electric hand mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the melted chocolate and flour and mix until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped egg whites with a rubber spatula until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and press the remaining quarter of the chocolate bar into the center of the pudding.
  6. Bake the pudding for 6 minutes, until the edges are cooked but the center is still gooey.
  7. Remove the pudding from the oven and scoop vanilla ice cream onto the center, if desired. Serve warm.
  8. Enjoy!
